I produced 30 minutes of custom-rendered visuals for a live concert performance. I designed and built three distinct 3D environments to give the show a clear visual progression across the setlist. To make sure everything worked on the day, I also developed dedicated previsualization tools to handle the complex configuration of the multi-segment LED screens, allowing us to test the entire show in a virtual space before the physical stage was even built.
One of the primary hurdles on this project was restricted venue access, granting us just 48 hours on-site before showtime. Adding to the complexity, the LED rig was built in an unconventional resolution and aspect ratio, featuring physical gaps between the panels rather than a single seamless wall. This meant our iteration cycles were severely limited; we simply couldn't afford the time to re-render or redo content after finally seeing it on the real screens.
